so i dreamed that i was taking a bus to nyc to meet my friend sara munro in a really big building there. but then when we got there, we couldn't eat lunch, because she had promised to call her granddaddy and she needed a phonebook, but the payphones didn't have any. well, i happened to notice one behind the information counter--they had a little in/out tray propped up in the air with a phonebook and--yes, get this--the ghost of a nun, lying curled up on top of it--under the corner to hold it even. i went to borrow it and the guy said it was v/ important, the ghost of the nun needed it, blah blah. we were pissed. so we went upstairs, and we were talking about the ghosts of nuns, and all these new ones came! the door opened at the end of the hall and one drifted towards me, and i knew that if i could shake her composure enough to make her stop floating above the ground we could have the phone book, so i grabbed her by the shoulders (she was v/ short and hovering about a foot in the air) and shook her and started yelling--to shake her composure--"christmas is really a pagan holiday! easter was a pagan holiday! worshipping death! worshipping blood! worshipping the moon! worshipping the earth! goddesses! ritual sacrifice! the druids!" --she opened her eyes and winced, and started to slowly float back down to the floor. then it skipped ahead in time; sara and i were with my parents and i was telling them about this, and laughing so hard i couldn't talk, and my dad was marvelling over my cleverness.

Hey, congratulations - you have officially defeated my Children of the Corn dream in terms of fucked-upness! Deceased members of religious orders... have you been reading Harry Potter recently or what?
