morning shift routines
11 Oct 2004 12:01 pmevery day once wax leaves, the kittehs commence trying to make my life miserable. they sit on various parts of my anatomy, like my stomach, crotch, hips, and knees, pinning me to the bed (when unconscious, weight makes me lie still, so that i wake up with cramps and incipient pressure sores). they install themselves in nests on either side of one thigh and then start hissing and clawing over it, forcing me to lift my bleary head and wave a hand between them in the frigid morning air (window's open, because at night it's boiling and steamy). this greatly reduces the quality of sleep. anyway, now the curtains are open and the windows are closed, and the main question in my mind is whether i should go to town without wax and look at shoes (an activity which gives her hives) as i originally planned to do. huh.
