cimorenehow funny is my inability with any language? um, well, it was funny to me. just to give you an idea, my translation followed by what it really meant.

in athens, the ship having arrived in the night, the misfortune was told of and the wailing from the port reached through the city along the long walls, one announcing it to another.
it's the silmarillion grown old and boring, with poor word choice. yeah. maybe i'll take a nap now that it's about 12 hours from when i originally went to bed last night. my head hurts.
