jenny just came in to tell me that it looks like i got some blue paint on the white wall the day before yesterday when painting (which happened in touching up, after i had taught jenny and taumas, both completely inexperienced, to paint from scratch, neither having done it before, or knowing anything about it). "yeah," she said twice, "you've gotta wipe that stuff off right away." she only knows this because i told her the other day. "now we'll have to put primer over it," she said. does she think i don't know this? that i forgot? even though she only knows it because i told her? what possible purpose can be served by this conversation? we already have to do that; the paint is already dry. it's been there three days. "yeah," i said, "i noticed that. yesterday." i didn't notice it at the time. if i had, in what universe would it still be there right now? my god.
