Heh, well, that too. Mostly, in my case, though, it was the fact that after months of gorging on TS fic, and then seeing the show, I found I didn't fucking recognise any of these people. It was my first encounter with the phenomenon of fanon. ("The fanfic lied to me!") I was so oung and naive. Sniff.
