right, that's what i thought. i never expected to be imprisoned there either before. and to be fair, i wasn't actually locked in the library. today i unwisely used the exit closest to my route home. apparently the library itself is open later on fridays than its surrounding courtyards are, because the door locked behind me, leaving me in the courtyard with the gate between me and the street closed and locked, no opening mechanism on the inside. i had to throw my bag and library books over it and climb over, which wasn't too difficult but was kind of a pain in the ass since the gate is chest-high and the bars are only vertical.
