in other news, it just occurred to me to try photoshop cs's help file. lo and behold, it *can* convert a whole batch to jpg at a time, and rename them too, actually. but i can't figure out how to get it to not number them in reverse order the first time around. i'm sure i can solve the problem with a little more thinking though. and the good thing is that uploading the caps to pics.livejournal.com is now the most time-consuming part of the process.
