yesterday, besides acquiring the whole history of my one true show*, we bought some soap+ and plant stuff and groceries, and ate at the weirdest mexican restaurant i have EVER seen. i think they were going for american. there was a whole section of the menu dedicated to grill and another to pasta and pizza and a third to hamburgers. they served french fries and mozzarella sticks, and even the stuff in the "mexican" part of the menu all seemed to come with coleslaw, which their menu described as "an american salad".
soooo, i took the night off from the internet. but i could totally write today**. yesterday i made a vow that i would trudge to the post office to mail a small package to the netherlands, but wax is still asleep (having stayed up way too late), and it's dreary and unsunny looking outside. i'm the only occupant of the apartment who isn't in the bed. even the dog didn't move it out to the livingroom to keep me company.
i had vague nightmares last night about the appallingly pastel garments that infested all the clothing stores we passed in town yesterday. i may not get to buy anything this season because nothing's in fashion that won't look icky on me.

perhael doesn't have to work all day. or actually, even if she does, but then i'd have to start something else.
