cimorene: cartoony drawing of a woman's head in profile giving dubious side-eye (say my name bitch)
If I'm searching a tag on delicious, I usually don't care what the last bookmarked story was - what I want to know is the order in which they were first bookmarked, ie, which bookmarks are actually new and which ones are showing up for the 500th time. Looking through a big, popular tag for new material in a fandom that's reading more than it's writing is a singularly unrewarding and tiresome process.

In other news: I am so incredibly cranky today, and that's even after an afternoon curled up with a sheepskin, reading all the way through this giant chronological compendium of Victorian fashion plates from Harper's Bazar, all 1000 illustrations of it. (Victoriana has the strange quality of just becoming funnier the more you look at it. I'm no doubt going to be scanning some of the plates of shoes.) (I wish someone would do for it what Sofia Coppola did for Rococo in Marie Antoinette.)

nike air mogan law Shuh - Curly 3-strap suede

The first are Nike Air "Mogan Law", and they're... kind of ugly yet kind of pleasing; I mean, if I just glimpsed them under the bottom of jeans on the street, I think they might make a good impression. But if you think Nike is too evil to be appreciated, which is not that uncommon a view, then your enjoyment of today's post is limited to whether you agree with me about the greatness of the "Curly 3-strap" by Shuh (http://www.shuhstore.co.uk - in-house brand), which combines the plimsoll-trim of Converse with a lightweight suede upper fastened with velcro, all in the same pleasing colour. It also comes in some other shades of leather/suede and grey t-shirt jersey. (Suede plimsolls with matching-coloured trim are definitely on my long-term to-buy list of shoes, although since right now I have more sneakers than I can wear, not the short-term list.)

When I took Perry outside at lunchtime he was dragging so enthusiastically on the leash that I veered off and let him investigate under a bush, from whence he promptly pulled a dark-coloured bundle that appeared at closer glance to be... a pigeon. Actually an ex-pigeon, although it was in such pristine condition that it must have only recently gone to meet its maker. It was all stiff and bent, but not disarrayed. (Ewwwwwwwwww.)

It was probably the grossest thing that's ever happened to me. I didn't know what to do! So... I panicked. Actually I screamed "DROP IT" without any conscious intention or control, so loud and high-pitched that a) it echoed and b) my voice broke. (My throat still hurts.) The dog dropped it, but he was still excited and happy all the way back inside. Then I called Wax and freaked out for about 5 minutes, going "Ugh! UGH! AUUUUUUUUGH!" a lot.

Large portions of the European public continue to believe that Jews still talk too much about what happened to them in the Holocaust. Overall, 44% of those surveyed believe it is "probably true" that Jews still talk too much about the Holocaust. A majority of respondents in Austria, Hungary and Poland believe it to be true.

In Austria and Poland they think that? Oh, you have got to be shitting me. Does "irony" even cover it?
