I have one week of FREEDOM before my regular teacher is back from her summer vacation. Granted, I have to use it to prepare a homework thingy about Dinah Washington -
(the assignment was an artist of some sort from your country, but I feel like the US is so big that it's probably more fair to choose one that has something significant in common with me, like same hometown. And Dinah Washington does have! My hometown, that is. She isn't my favorite jazz singer, but she's in the top 5 and it's my favorite genre, so it seems like a good pick.
(I mean, there are plenty of brilliant visual artists from the US in general, and also some from Alabama in particular, but no pre-existing Alabamian favorites really, and most of my favorite visual artists are European, or else still living and devoting themselves exclusively to fantasy illustration; and Warhol is the remaining standout but then, everybody already knows about him, or if they don't I don't want to know about it because I could never look at them the same way again. So anyway, Dinah Washington. I could apply myself to music editing software and making a little musical medley!)
Anyway, free time. My agenda is mostly to lie around and maybe to poke at my WIPs a little bit. I've even already finished the tapestry crochet tote bag I was making myself. Honestly I should start a new knitting project but I don't have a good show in mind to marathon yet - Lewis and Game of Thrones are waiting for us but that won't get me through a whole sweater.
Although I do need to go to Ikea because we need another length of hedgehog-printed fabric for the bedroom curtains.
For this reason, I will be able to post shoes again! At least for a week! That's also the reason I was able to actually go around to all my favorite websites and download all the relevant shoes from the current lineups of Iron Fist, Irregular Choice, and Dr Martens. Mmmh, shoes.
