health and safety gone mad, deirdre
8 Jan 2019 01:24 pmWe watched Derry Girls last night - all of it in one night, even though Wax works early today! Why are British shows SO SHORT - and we laughed through the entire thing. I was in tears in the first episode.
It took a year to reach Netflix Nordic, I guess (judging from how long ago the first gifsets appeared on Tumblr), but it was worth the wait. The last new comedy show this funny to reach me was Brooklyn 99.
waxjism spent a year on a sheep farm in Ireland as a teenager in the 90s and she always makes me jealous with her anecdotes, trivia, and ability to recognize and distinguish accents. It really makes me want to go there sometime, apart from the fact that I hate traveling at all and we probably can't anyway because of the difficulty in obtaining bunny-sitters. Maybe by the time we don't have bunnies anymore our anxiety will have mellowed enough to detest travel less, and hence be willing to undertake it for something less than weddings. (We don't know anyone who would be getting married there, though, unless of course some of our remaining London-based friends happen to marry Irish people, which does seem unlikely if not exactly IMPOSSIBLE.)
