The natural paint I ordered got here - that is, a clay paint for the bedroom and a water-thinned linseed oil-based furniture paint for the built-in cabinets in the dining room. I'm EXTREMELY excited to paint, but wasn't able to use it right away because it's been too rainy and the humidity is too high. (Also the electric sander is at Ängisbacka.) We also ordered two wallpapers which I'm nearly as excited about (I mentioned Boråstapeter's Retro in this post earlier, and also Sanderson's Hampton Trellis for the curved feature wall in our entry hall), but we probably won't be able to put them up for some weeks.

We have so much that needs doing that it's difficult to choose where to start - first we spent a while with my three pages of to-do lists, copying all the ones that I can't do by myself in Wax's absence into a single categorized list. Wax had a day off today because she works Saturday, and we spent it putting together the cabinets that are going to go in our kitchen even though the kitchen still has two walls that need to be ripped up and resurfaced first. (Also the backsplash tiles have to go up.) But at least this freed up a bit of floor space in the livingroom so we can squeeze some more stuff in there. There's a lot of furniture in the boatshed that shouldn't be in the boatshed over the winter and we're not going to enjoy cramming it into nooks and crannies in here, but if we want to put it in the garage we have to first confirm with the plumber which parts of the garage floor are going to be taken up with a jackhammer.

Speaking of inconvenient storage, when we packed in the middle of summer we didn't think we were going to be still living out of boxes when it got cold, so we used our winter clothes as extra packing material. I need to find my winter coats and Wax's jacket and sweaters, at a minimum, and have no clue where they are. There's a wall of bookcases filled with boxes that are still taped shut and labeled with the other contents, like 'books' and 'china', with the sheets and towels and curtains and winter clothes doing uncredited work alongside them. This means I've got to start opening all of them and looking in them and then packing them all back up because there isn't enough space in here to have more than a couple of boxes open. We have about 3 weeks until the funeral so hopefully I'll also have plenty of time to have found my dress pants before then.
