Probably we should just hibernate for the month of January

I'm prone to being a bit absent-minded at the best of times, in that maybe undiagnosed adhd way, but January is just brutal. Sleepy, half awake, drifting apart from time... sort of dissociating? Friday I dropped a case of glass bottles of sweetened juice concentrate (one of what I like to call my "forgot about gravity" situations) and it must've taken an hour to clean up.

This weekend I fell into icon-making flow; I didn't hear my Snookums alarm at all the other day and he got his insulin 5 hours late, and I've been trying to gradually adjust it back to schedule since. Earlier today I intended to switch the bunnies (lock up Inspector Japp and let Rowan out) but when I had them there I just gave them the treats and forgot the cage part. Poor Rowan had to wait another 4 hours. Then when I tested Snookums's blood sugar this evening, I put the test strips and the monitor away but forgot to look at the result. I had to start over to know how much insulin he needed.

Also Wax and I cooked dinner late (I forgot what time it was before) and we both forgot to make rice to go with it until it was already done cooking.
