cimorene: medieval painting of a person dressed in red tunic and green hood playing a small recorder in front of a fruit tree (this is awkward)
[personal profile] cimorene

  1. Summary: In his head, the fact that he's known William seven days, fucked him thirteen times and been killed by him once entitles his to a little insider information, some hints as to what William did before he was dead.

  2. Summary: Pete, a scrawny ((but still cute)) skater moved to LA two years ago. After several problems, he moved back only to find out all of his friends got rezoned. Now he's a junior in high school with only three friends and a habit of getting in trouble with bullies. Then he discovers Patrick. An adorable little freshman who can't stand up for himself.

  3. Summary: Frank is a nihilistic seventeen-year-old punk who's just about ready to give up on life. Gerard is the introverted, off-center English teacher who reminds Frank how beautiful life can be.

  4. Title: Army of Lovers (3/?)
    Pairing: Bob/Gerard; Ray/Frank
Summary: This is based off of the Sacred Band of Thebes. They were an army of 150 couples, based off the idea that one would fight better if their lover was by their side. They met a sticky end when they refused to give up on their empire.

  5. Summary: Innocent little Frankie... not so innocent anymore. Before Frank got the money for school and the dorm he and Gerard share, Frankie lived between friends, slept under bridges, and lived in shelters. He forever needs money badly, but can't have a job until the semester is over so he sells drugs and his body to get him by. Gee doesn't know at first, but after he finds out, it tears him apart.

I kind of want to read #3. Um.

#5 just made me inhale my mocha. Thank god it was lukewarm at that point.

I can pårobably find part of #3 for you if you're serious. It was fairly recent in my searches. #5 ended with Gerard crying and Frankie promising not to hook anymore because now he belongs ONLY TO GERARD.

Oh man, this batch has quite a few that could be good if they were decently written.

Pete's friends got rezoned? They couldn't, you know, visit?

Their parents are strict. :( They're not allowed to use public transportation.

And they can't walk.

I think all of them except the last one probably could! Although, okay, the Theban Band one would be a little tricky because it's rather Srs Bzness for bandslash. Not to mention Gerard doesn't seem like a very formidable warrior.

The Theban Band one was the one I was interested in least. I could see the last one if it were less...craptacular. I mean, I totally wouldn't turn down a story about someone selling drugs and sex.

Just so you know, I have just decided to change my username to sticky_end, so don't be confused when you see it on your friendslist.

Now see, I get the badness. I do. But you post these things, and my mind does this:
Summary: Rodney McKay can handle three impossible things before breakfast, as long as he's had coffee. But even he has a breaking point, and being stuck in a timeloop with John Sheppard (version 2.0, Ascended and even more enigmatic) has hit it. The fact that Rodney's known John three years, fucked him thirteen times and been shot by him twice surely entitles Rodney to a little insider information, some hints as to exactly what Ancient tech Sheppard was touching when it killed him. Because then maybe Rodney can reverse the process before the timeloop collapses, and John goes off to glowy-squid land and leaves him for ever.

Do you see? And it is all your fault!

Yeah, it's the drugs and sex just being an excuse for a minor jealous fit that makes that one lame. If it had more about the streetrat plot, maybe.

Aw, yes, but that's totally the beauty of badfic summaries! Almost any badfic summary has an idea like that hidden in it. That's totally why I collect them!

I think that story is seriously begging for you to write it. It's like the Groundhog Day thing except even more awesome.

Man, a badfic remix is starting to become more and more needed, I feel.

I have decided to hold a bad!fic-summary ficathon instead (http://cupidsbow.livejournal.com/251787.html), as I'm still trying to finish my other WIPs.

But it is a wrench. Timeloops are never not awesome.

Oh, really? I've been sort of planning a badfic summary ficathon. I've got quite a collection of them, counting the ones I've been posting and a number of others.

There is still room for yours, as mine is literally a ficathon for writing bad!summaries, and I have a feeling you mean a ficathon for actual fic inspired by bad!summaries. Yes?

It sounds awesome. You should definitely do it. :)

Yes, I'm a firm devotee of realfic based on badfic summaries! I've gotten many of my most exciting story ideas in the past from (uncredited!) badfics. I still think you should write yours!

So often true.

And then you read one where Adam Lazarra is like the Vampire Voldemort and Frank is destined to be Vampire Harry Potter or something after sex magic with Gerard turns him undead.

I just scrolled through your journal looking for more of these. You find the worst best stuff!

But I really think it's a crime not to include the author's note from #5: This was originally Brendon and Ryan from Panic! but I changed it so I could post it here.

That was really the author's note (http://community.livejournal.com/mychemicalslash/2804701.html), if that was your question? But I don't know whether it was really a Brendon/Ryan story first. From the few flailing attempts at characterization, I'd guess yes? Because insane jealousy seems more like Ryan fanon than Gerard fanon. (Yes, I totally googled that thing just so I could read it. I am pathetic when it comes to my love of hooker AUs.
