I had a fair amount of vodka and wine and also a glass of kahlua last night at Sugar & Lex's place. But I sort of ran out of energy for drinking alcohol at some point when Chi and to a lesser extent Sugar started to get verbosely philosophical and forgot to drink more, and by the time I left the drunkenness had pretty much worn off. I don't even have a hangover. Apparently Finns are sad drunks (paranoid drunks?), or at least, some of them are. I'm more a cuddly drunk. Wax just said, "Finnish people!" and shook her head. And, okay, it was kind of funny. But I think they didn't have that much fun. I had plenty of fun, though. And I've discovered grapefruit juice really DOES cover the taste of vodka, if you use enough of it. It's almost as easy to drink as margaritas. Much better than vodka and orange juice or vodka and gingerale.

Hey, guys, we ARE actually supposed to wear costumes on Halloween, right? Do you want any company in looking for pumpkins and stuff?

No, I'm okay - the big mope went away pretty quickly this time. Sometimes I'm in a sad sad funk for days. It's probably best that I don't drink at the Halloween party...

Also, I totally forgot to give you your books back. Let me know if you're missing them and I'll bring them over as soon as possible. And, um. I really loved the Chrestomanci quartet! Even though it was still a bit scary.

One of the things I do remember is Bell saying "so is he the Really Hot Boy, then?" And I was all "OMFG YES."

Basically, I can't stop laughing about the whole evening, except the part where you angsted because that wasn't fun. *HUGZ OMG*
