. . . AHAHHAHAHA. They just get weirder.
Meanwhile, I've just had the most vivid nightmare I can remember for a long time. The other honour students, under the leadership of a girl who used to annoy me in 4th grade by asking repeatedly what I was reading, had decided the National Honor Society needed a new meeting room and were building a giant ... like... underwater pool that looked like two or three stories of ancient ruins buried under water. She was having it drained so we could see the ruins and then re-filled and we all had to sit in the water wearing these rainbow silk scarves and black robes for the meetings. I got delayed trying to sort out a problem with the scarves and give them back to their proper owners and the 11th graders came in. I finally escaped, starving, and realised I wasn't meant to be in that school at all, and the security guards weren't going to let me leave if they noticed me. The door was right there, and I was in the hall looking at it, but I couldn't even feel my legs. So I was lying on the floor staring up at it, and this... witch... girl... was on the floor next to me smoking pot, and offered to distract them for me, but she kept going, "Hurry!" and I couldn't. I barely made it outside. And then I woke up.

mommy confused chanukkah with passover. so she was roasting an egg for the first time instead of cheating and boiling it, and i was like "is it going to explode in the oven?" and she didn't know. so she took it out to give it to rosy [the dog] and tried to crack it on the stovetop, and IT REALLY DID EXPLODE. all over the stovetop!!!!!!!
