KIRK's face slowly lights with a warm smile.

watching it really made me want to reread islaofhope's "too dear for possessing"--isn't that the one set during this episode--but it's vanished from the internet as far as i can tell. it's probably just as well. stories that were really impressive the first time around are never as cool as you remember when you come back to them.
