cimorene: cartoony drawing of a woman's head in profile giving dubious side-eye (smug)

A rather post-modern homosexual-subtext-laden conversation was added, I'm pretty sure, by the screenwriter to "Hickory Dickory Dock". It can't have been in the book. Wax's read it, and she would remember.

We owe this scene of exquisite make-your-eyes-bug-out hilarity, and its epic victory, all to the bizarre names of English food, which include among their ranks both faggots and spotted dick. Yay, England!

Wow, I've just finished re-reading Hickory Dickory Dock, and I'm pretty sure I'd have noticed homosexual-subtext-laden conversation. That... may or may not be a pity.

It was pretty wonderful in my view! But I'm very big on the film canon.
