this week already sucks

- For reasons that do not need exploring at this juncture, but have to do with a concatenation of client/manager incompetence and spotty internet connection, one of Wax's projects is overdue and she had to leave me to handle it while she's slaving away, owing her soul to the [Nokia] company store. It should have been finished long ago, enabling me to run errands, but instead I'm making my third attempt to download a piece of software just to convert the stupid file into a format that I can edit to put the translations in.

+ Wax put my hd in her computer, so I can has my music and the up-to-date version of my story *backs it up everywhere*

+ I hooked Picard the laptop up to Vader (my monitor) plus my speakers/ mouse/ keyboard. Or actually, Wax's keyboard because mine wasn't USB, but we traded. So it's basically just like having my own computer back, setup wise. Except it's slow and retarded and running Vista.

- Vista still sucks.

+ This way I can catch up on more laundry, at least?

- THE WEATHER.

How is *your* weather Teh Suck? Surely you do not have massive hurricanes, etc.

I bought more LJ time so I can use my kitteh icon, so he can hang out with Teh Crazy.

The weather is typical for fall here - windy, overcast 24/7, constantly changing pressure and the threat of thunder which very rarely eases... this has the result of making it dark all the time and giving me a headache from the pressure about 50% of the time. And it's never safe to go outside. Still, it's not a hurricane, true. I don't think we get those here (knock on wood).
