He's been my favourite character since a certain point near the end of the first book. He's definitely the most exciting thing to make me think it would make a killer awesome tv show, and BABY SKARSGÅRD!!!!! He's all I could have hoped for! *__*

They've made a certain number of changes in turning it into a tv series, some necessary, some simply for the better, and some that I disagree with. I love Tara, but Sookie's characterisation reads differently for me and I don't like her as well as I do in the books. I love that they've added so much about Jason, but I hate the guy playing Sam. I'm not sure how well I like the interpretation of Arlene, but I highly approve of Rene. You win some, you lose some, I guess. My main beef is Sookie and how I'm not sure I like the characterisation, although Sam irritates me so severely onscreen (not necessarily a bad choice, just because I want to kick him in the balls a lot). But Erik so far has more than made up for my Sookie beef.

Well, I hate all the Jason :) and Sookie hasn't been my fave either. Bill and Erik, Mmmm.... I've not seen the last two eps yet, my friend hasn't have time to come over yet and watch them with me.

Anna Paquin was an extremely poor choice for Sookie, but I'm trying to embrace her anyway.

I think her southern accent isn't very good, and they should have known that from when she played Rogue.
Ryan Kwanten (Jason), on the other hand, does an excellent job with his accent imo. I had no clue he was British until recently.
