it just rained. the sky turned all dusky periwinkle white and it started rumbling, and then it became even more overcast, glaring gray, and water just poured down. for maybe half an hour or so. i can just smell it, practically, even with the door shut. thunder and lightning were in evidence. i stopped running around like a dead chicken and sat down at the computer again, the cat's asleep downstairs, i'm thinking i'm going to nap in what there is of sunlight on the couch downstairs.
i slopped clean water on my jeans filling buckets up--they're coming to turn off the water, because i explained about the leak, even though procedurally they need an sn. the guy on the phone was really nice about it. the sides and back of my tongue are tingling like i'm about to eat something good. the dogs are asleep in their little house.
there are some things about life that are just too perfect sometimes.
and i'm thinking,
maybe six feet
ain't so far down
