household staples
14 Dec 2008 07:17 pmI've got to start remembering to buy some actual food at the grocery store, and not just five different kinds of expensive tea, a bag of out-of-season over-priced domestic tomatoes, and a huge bar of chocolate (I'm pretty sure it's not my imagination that the checkout boy was giving me a funny Look for that). I tend to remember to buy food (as opposed to chocolate and tea, which I rarely forget) only when I'm actually hungry while shopping, unless I have a list, even if we're out of almost everything.
In other news, we still haven't bought a baby Christmas tree yet. I suppose that expedition (along with Channukah paper, Christmas ribbons for packages - my parents almost never used ribbons, but they seem to be de rigeur in Wax's family - and red things to go on the tree, or possibly white things) is slated for Wax's next day off. I can't wait all the way till after Channukah to do the tree, because then we'd barely get to look at it, since it's not till the 21st.
