Moose Calf Wandered Around Metro Station

A moose calf got into the East Central metro station on Sunday. After a short visit it left - on foot, not by subway. The moose went through the station's ticketing hall, among other places, and also visited the parking garage. Many people called Emergency Services and reported the animal, which had also wandered through the crossing between Ring I and the Lahtis expressway.

Several police patrols searched for the moose, but it escaped into the forest. It was feared that the moose calf might wander into the motorway and become a danger.

We had deer break into one of the local fast food restaurants when I was in high school. They broke in in the night, wandered around, did a little property damage, and then left, leaving behind only footage of their shenanigans. Some of us felt more of a kinship to them than others. *g*
