Yeah, it does. The pop psych of the 60s was very strange in a number of ways - Freud was very current then, which... yeah. I found Psycho too hilarious to be scary, except in the one or two awesomest jump scenes (not that I didn't love it, but I practically fell off the couch laughing at the end).

Hahaha adult turning into a serial killer! XD At least Heyer has down the concept of evolving, and starting with small animals and moving up, although she seems very much unclear on the whole motivation/delusion aspect. I don't blame her for not knowing about arson/bed-wetting: it was the 60s, after all.
