Insofar as wearing goes, these sneakers - being golf shoes - can only appeal to a small minority of this journal's readership, if that. (Seriously, golf? Minigolf, sure, but ACTUAL golf? I mean, I know I have lurkers, but it's just not a passion that overlaps widely with the typical fannish ones for porn and television. If I'm wrong, please, by all means correct me. I don't understand golf, and would love to gaze upon one who does.)
But in my view, the clothing is the best thing about golf! Now, stay with me. I'm not talking about the golf clothing you see on grandpas, or the golf clothing you probably picture if your idea of golf comes from bad 1980s romance movies featuring Yalies and girls from the wrong side of the tracks. No, I'm talking about today's golf gear aimed at ~serious athletes~ (incomprehensible it may be, but it's definitely athletic if you're good at it) and designed by (and for) the golf equivalents of the Williams sisters.
Also it must be admitted that I have a definite weakness for the judicious application, with cuteness, of Madras plaid and Argyle check. And of course, sneakers like these.

Typically I am all for disregarding the intended purpose of garments, but I can't think that shoes with spiky bottoms would be at all useful for daily casual wear. Which is too bad because I really enjoy that little flap over the laces on the second pair.
