What bothers me about ones like 2 and 3 are that they seem to have come to the conclusion that "Disclaimer" does not actually mean "Disclaimer" at all, but is some cue card for them to write a derivative phrase indicating that they have dreams that are failing to come true.

Granted, everyone knows what a disclaimer is supposed to say (or actually I guess they don't, since in RPS wouldn't you need to say something to the effect of "I am not in any way affiliated with these people" as opposed to "I don't own any of these people"?) but if they think it's so stunningly obvious that they don't actually properly need to disclaim, what's the point of having a disclaimer in the first place?

And yes, I realize it's easier to just facepalm over it and move on, but it's a trend that's becoming alarmingly prevalent.

Lollllllllllllllllll. Yeah. *Sigh* It's amazing the number of people who are incapable of the slightest bit of logical thought. They just copy what they see other people saying in a disclaimer without apparently even grasping what a disclaimer is supposed to do!

Some of them seem to give it some thought and get as far as 'It's obviously ridiculous to think that I would be claiming to own this celebrity. Everyone could see that makes no sense, since people don't own other people. Why would a celebrity want to sue me claiming that I claimed to own them?' - But then they don't get the rest of the way to 'Oh, THAT'S NOT WHY THEY WOULD SUE ME.' The best part was when I was trolling for plebefic headers in one of the bandom comms and the mod had posted that she was going to crack down on fic without disclaimers because she didn't want the community to be sued - besides the fact that the musicians in question are all well aware of RPS AND have talked about it (and mocked it, usually) in interviews! - and then continued to say that all stories needed to disclaim that they didn't own the dudes.
