i finally watched an episode of smallville. freak named tyler, immortalized (for as long as he doesn't touch himself) by the fatal combination of painkillers + meteorite, goes around trying to end people's pain by turning them to ash. literally. clark gets touched--side of face--and stands there, mouth open in dismay, looking down to the side. wax's hurts, doesn't it? icon, if i'm not mistaken.

why did no one tell me before that the writing is really kind of bad? it was cute and charming and amusing... just not always intentionally.

Oh hon, the writing is pretty much *appalling*. But it's the sheer beauty and chemistry between Lex and Clark that makes it such fantastic fic fodder.

If it weren't for that, I probably wouldn't have ever considered watching it. Oh, ok, maybe I would've because John Schneider's in it, too. ::schoolgirlish sigh::

It's... horrible. I get embarrassed for the writers while watching. It's just... they're so pretty and the chemistry is so damn good. Yeah. I'm kinda hooked.

Ya know, I could blame my Smallville fixation on you >:) It's your trust in your Wax and her hyping of the slashiness that convinced me it was worth a look. *sigh* Now I must tune in because... pretty! The show is just an excuse for fanfic presented on a lovely silver platter. Dialog to fix, pretty boys to fix up... what more could bored girls ask for?

well, not that wax was wrong, although i don't know how thoroughly i understand her obsession. i won't apologize. an hour of giggling at inane dialogue and slobbering over pretty boys. not to mention lana, actually. there was a girl in my english class, a junior in the english department, who looked a lot like that. didn't write essays as well as i did, but was pretty good in the class discussions.

tralalalala.
