DISCLAIMER: I would never in a million years recommend that anybody actually wear platform shoes with a 4"+ spike heel. At least, not if they were going to be standing up at all. I do enjoy looking at fetish shoes, though. (The latter pair are from UK high street, but they totally are fetish shoes...)

Am resisting the urge to track down the Faith ones. Sensible says no, of course, but they're *so* shiny...

Well, you're in the UK of course so you COULD, but I'm pretty sure you can also just order them online and have them delivered.

I, uh, really want the first pair. That said, I actually do better in four inch heels with platforms then without. I find having some of the height in the sole relieves the tension in the bend of the ankle. Although I would worry about the bootie nature of those shoes. Generally, for me, the bootie needs to be very well designed to hug my foot so I don't die trying to walk in them.

... I possibly have too many high heels.

Zoe Saldana has been rocking shoes remarkably like this... everywhere lately. Maybe not quite this extreme but they're very familiar.

The silhouette has been very fashionable for the past few years and is even more common in high end shoes. Almost all Louboutins look like that. I wouldn't call them similar on that basis.

Yes, if the heel is the same but there's a platform the incline must be shorter. In practice, though, usually the heel just goes to 4½" or 5" in the high-end designer shoes at least (like in the one on the left). Although the slightly more wearable ones are probably available in midrange if you look, but since I would never consider wearing a stiletto, I typically only pay attention to the very unusual or very high-end ones.
