My best friend

hollsh, a ninja knitter, active member of ontd_startrek, and the mother of my godson, is in severe danger of losing her home.

Her husband is a Toronto-area bus driver who was forced to miss a lot of work and salary that they really couldn't afford to do without thanks to a back injury, and they're now in serious mortgage trouble, facing a foreclosure next Tuesday if they don't come up with $3,000+ Canadian.

The more enraging aspects of the treatment of public servants aside, the most pressing concern is that she and her children don't wind up homeless. They're in some serious trouble and have set up a Paypal donation link as a last resort:
