recording changes in hairstyle for posterity

Since last spring I've been having one of those periods where I hate everything that happens with my hair. Every time I've trimmed it in the past few months I've been less satisfied with the result. Last week when I accidentally ended up with Beatles hair after trimming my bangs, waxjism said I looked like Ryan Ross. ("TAKE THAT BACK!!!") It couldn't be borne, but the only way to go was shorter, so I ended up with a pixie cut.

It ABSOLUTELY looked like Ryan Ross hair, except not long enough. In the second photo, the haircut is very cute, and you're wearing Ryan Ross' clothes! >:D

I've actually literally had a fondness for waistcoats since before Ryan Ross was born and sewed my first two from scratch when I was 13, so I don't feel in the least put off from them by his sartorial habits.

Loving the pixie cut! I honestly think that out of all possible hairdos, it's the one that suits you best. Your face is just the right shape for it.

Really? Interesting! You're the first person that's ever given me an honest opinion about what type of haircut best suits me, I think. At least, when I have 20s hair, I've had several people tell me that it suits me, but never in comparison to other styles or whatever so I'm inclined to interpret it as just a positive comment on the current effect.

Umm. Being completely behind the times, and having only you two as my anchor to current pop goings-on, you probably know that the Ryan Ross reference leaves me baffled. However, I was just re-watching Disney movies and saw something that I had to share.

The bangs and the flippy curls on the sides? Kinda gave you Frollo hair o.O

PS. Lurv the pixie. Previous commenter is right -- not many can get away with that, but you're definitely one of them. It makes me want to get you cut skinny headbands and other decorative accessories.

I'm sorry to say that I have a skinny headband, but I can't wear it cause it gives me a headache by pressing on sensitive spots behind my ears. :(

But I'm glad you like the hair! I haven't worn it like this for four years or more, but I'm really liking it and thinking I may keep it for the foreseeable future after all.
