Why yes, this is a post about my hair!

I was feeling pretty happy all around with my recent (~2 months?) pixie cut until my little sister responded to a photo by linking to this picture of me from October 2009 and saying that I should go back to the 20s bob because it was really cute. Nominally a compliment, but in context it's a bit negative, no?

I like the 20s bob a lot, and always have. But last spring I started to feel it wasn't flattering, and get annoyed with the ends that would always flip out instead of in because my hair is very stubbornly wavy, and I ended up losing that style for the first time since 2006. I had been feeling the pixie cut was actually more flattering, but now I don't know, so I'm curious about what other people think. Honest truth! I won't be offended if you vote for the bob. I will probably have gone back to it in a couple of years tops anyway.

Both styles are very cute, but I vote for maintaining the pixie cut for a while!

they're both so great but i think the bob hairstyle is more about the cute hairstyle, while the pixie one is more about your cute face. :D?

I was about to click that I liked both equally, but I don't. I like them differently. The pixie cut is cute, but it emphasizes your face a lot more, and particularly your cheeks. The bob emphasizes more the heart-shaped ness of your face, and is, much like a previous commenter, more about the hair then the face.

That was a far more difficult decision than it should have been. I sort of like the bob better just because in general I think bobs look amazing when people have the facial structure to carry them off, but the pixie is really cute on you too.

They're both very cute, and they highlight different features. ::shrug:: It's really down to what you think suits you right now.

The bob is gorgeous and classy, and you carry it off well, but the pixie cut shows off your face so much better that there's no comparison.

You always have fabulous, stylish hair but I would say that given so few people can pull off a pixie, it's nice to flaunt your enviable bone structure. You and Natalie Portman, kiddo. I would give my right arm to be able to pull off a pixie. Sadly I will sit over in my moon-faced corner with Julia Stiles and Portia De Rossi.

Haha, I was just wishing yesterday that I had Portia de Rossi's gorgeous hair! You have similarly beautiful hair. Even if long hair is about how gorgeous the hair is, as opposed to about the face, it's totally justified when your hair is as beautiful as hers or yours!


Emma Watson has been rocking a pixie cut lately, too, and I'm really enjoying all the movie-premiere publicity of it.
