We were having a crisis with Snookums's blood sugar this week (and I completely lost a couple of days in there) until I tried a new insulin pen in the middle of the night night before last. Now it looks like the old pen had gone off and his blood sugar level is back down from 'scary and completely unpredictable' to 'unfortunately high'. If it was the insulin, we don't know how long it wasn't working properly, so we'll have to keep testing a lot. His poor little ears are polka-dotted.
