The other day I put Tristana in my hoodie when we were upstairs before dinner, and she just went to sleep. She was so cute that I didn't want to move her, so I put my elbow under her and took her downstairs, and then wrapped a circle scarf under her butt outside the hoodie like a baby sling, and she stayed there for a good ten or twenty minutes while we started preparing dinner.

She always wants to be included in what we're doing, which means she will scream the house down in response to a closed door or being left inside when we're in the backyard, but also she quite likes being carried around, because she gets to observe what you're doing. You can sometimes carry her around the backyard without a single indication that she wants to be put down to explore on her own. Also I can scoop her up and she pretty much doesn't mind as long as I immediately go somewhere (because that means she's going with me!). You can save yourself the risk of tripping over her as she gets in the way going up and down the stairs if you just grab her and carry her up and down them with you, because if she notices someone is on them she invariably follows.
