Our tenant gave a month's notice.

Now we've gotta find another tenant! Can't make the mortgage (and water and electric) on this place without another 500€+. Fortunately our SIL put it on facebook for us - neither of us uses it.

Last time we were quite lucky to find someone by word of mouth who was in the friend of friend range, so quickly that we never even had a chance to take photos of the place. I went through my photos looking and found out there's no clear picture of the kitchen or bathroom or the second public room at all.

Good luck on the tenant hunt! It's kind of nerve-wracking to try to pick someone who will be a good fit, both in terms of 'pays the rent' and in terms of 'gets along quietly without damaging things more than usual'. Here's hoping it goes well!

We haven't had any problems with those at all so far. I think we're more worried about personality, because they share the yard and the garage and the water meter and all that stuff, and we're both absent-minded, depressed, and executive dysfunctional so we're TERRIBLE at getting around to things so our lawn maintenance is nonexistent. Somebody said one of the applicants was "extremely neat and clean" and my initial reaction is "Uh-oh, she would probably hate us"...
