I forgot to close the balcony when I let Anubis out in the house today (after shutting Snookums and Tristana in the bedroom). The reason he lost balcony privileges was repeatedly climbing over the railing and the higher chickenwire we put up to keep cats in and then crawling under the decking of the balcony, but he was still on a pretty flat surface the whole time (the roof of the porch).

WELL, today Wax was walking down the stairs and saw his happy little face looking in at her from the window halfway up the stairs. He was on the roof of the addition that we rent to a lovely Ukrainian family. PANIC! He must've jumped from the balcony.

But luckily that roof is flat and you can walk on it (for cat retrieval. Not lucky architecturally, because it doesn't go with the original house at all, it's just pastede on yey), so Wax opened the library window and I stepped out. (She didn't do that part because she's afraid of heights.) But Anubis is a sweetie apart from his murderous vendetta and he loves people, so he came when called after a few tries and let me carry him back in.

Then he immediately started complaining about it. ("Hey! I was having fun! Let me back on the big metal table!")
