I brought a thermometer to work yesterday to confirm my sense that it was very warm there. Actually it was about 21° C by my desk, or 70° F, which as Wax says is a perfectly normal indoor temperature. The air doesn't move really, as there are no fans or air circulation in the building, just radiators. But it's not particularly over-warm.

Of course when the sun is shining it gets warmer, but I still thought it was too hot when it was 21. Maybe it's perimenopause. I guess more headaches at my period and night sweats would be getting off lightly, if those were the only symptoms.

Also I'm just running a bit hotter by default now, when I was always cold when I was younger, but that one isn't all that inconvenient.

The dead air would bother me personally more than the temperature. I find I can stay comfortable at warmer temps if there is moving air.

In the past I have even brought in a small battery powered fan to put on my desk just to have a little moving air.

The classroom building where I worked for 15 years before I retired had a completely screwed up heating and air system that was never fixed and at the time I left it was still barely working. And my office had no window.

I was warm, sometimes, for the exciting part of menopause. But now I'm through with the random sweating thign and I'm just flipping cold, all the time. Constantly cold. Cold when it's 21C (70F). I just pack a sweatshirt all the time now. My hands are like ice but I do have fingerless mitts that I made a while ago and they're great. I wear them a lot.

I got lucky, I barely noticed menopause because of the PTSD.

Wait.
