Anubis's tallest moment

cimoreneYesterday was only the second time Anubis had been outside this spring, and he got to stay out a long time while Wax pottered around trimming things. He spent a full several minutes on the ground under this oak yelling at a wood pigeon which was magnificently unconcerned.
Then later he and Wax were sitting on the stairs in the sun and he jumped onto her shoulder and from there to the top of the door (propped open) and then to the eaves right in front of the balcony, still in his harness and leash, but unreachable! I climbed up the ladder on the side of the house and by the time I got close to the balcony he had oozed under the rail and the chicken wire and tied himself in a knot on the balcony, finally popping right out of his harness! Fortunately I managed to climb over the rail and grab him before he jumped up onto the roof, which always seems to be his goal for some reason.
