Anybody have a favorite recipe for nut brittle? I guess I'm just never going to be able to buy it in a store again and making it would be much easier than ordering it from far away.
I have not made brittle in decades, and when I did it was at a friend's house and they were doing the mixing, but I recall that much of it was butter and sugar; unfortunately, I don't have the recipe. I seem to recall that it was cooked like caramel, but to a different stage of candy-ness, before being poured over the nuts on a piece of cleaned (and possibly buttered?) marble.
