well, i'm not planning to be back here for a long long while, which makes this my last contra, and i'm feeling a little wistful. one of the fantastic *brilliant* awe-inspiring dancers asked me this time--this adorable, slight little gay boy with a narrow fox face and a pointy nose, spectacles, long blond hair and a beard and mustache. he always wears ridiculous outfits--tonight a mint green velour mock-turtle, short-sleeved and stomach bearing, green velvet trousers tucked into knee-high leather boots. last night it was a bicycling tshirt with the sleeves cut ofrf. anyway, i danced with him and i think i'm bigger than he is and weigh more than he does but he was brilliant fun, enough to make the man i danced with before him, who was rather excessively flirtatious, like a bore. then there were two really strange square dances, and the room was full of lost beginners which made it hysterically giggly and then i danced the greatest one yet--full of one spin leading into another--with, apparently, the perfect partner: a josh hartnett lookalike, i kid you not, but with fuller lips and freckles, which give him a sort of innocent air, and tousled short brown ringlets. anyway, about my height, but stronger, a fantastic dancer, a little younger than me and not annoyingly flirty--i think i hit the peak of my dancing with him, not missing a step for round after round, ad-libbing twirls and things when the other couple in our circle was lost, which happened rather a lot in this dance, a good quick one. oh, and i saw another adorable lesbian couple.
