so of course, after fifteen minutes
(daddy: when you said that you would be willing to go to the p.b. but would rather stay at home, what did you mean?
me: ...
daddy: did you mean you would hate it but i could drag you there?
me: of course, it IS raining.
lillian: YEAH, but you only have to walk in it for LIKE TWO SECONDS.)
it emerged that we were going to go after all. dad parked at the back of the Ghetto Buffet because they had cleverly camouflaged it as the front. my velveteen jacket didn't dry the whole time we were in there. also, the eggrolls appeared to be filled with hamburger, and the fried rice was extremely. um. well, i can't think of an adjective. the three all you can eat meals were worth about $4 total, which is what they cost.
