this morning's horrifying NPR-prompted revelation

'the question is not whether saddam has chemical weapons; in fact, it's pretty much been a general consensus for a while now that he does; the question is why he has not used them yet. one possibility is that he doesn't want france to get involved in the war and kick his butt in their famously tough french manner. the other is that when he hid them from the u.n. weapons inspectors they got lost.'

-PARAPHRASE of what was just actually heard on NPR from the defense department.

translation: 'if he had wanted to stop the rumors of chemical weapons, at any time he could have . he has made no attempt to do so. instead, he has denied that he has them, acted annoyed and offended to be accused of having them, been uncooperative with our efforts to start a war with him and put chemical weapons safety suits out in plain sight in abandoned buildings!'

'if dom and elijah had wanted to stop the rumors, at any time they could have. they have made no attempt to do so. instead, they have denied that they were together as a couple, acted approximately as affectionate together as with billeh and orli, and spent time together, and we have been told they were going to wear orange and yellow, and then they have worn orange and yellow.'

the terrifying thing is, my brain keeps going DATALOUNGE!!!!!!!111 at me whenever the newscasters start talking about OMG IS SADM RILLY D3AD???!!!?!? OMG. because. seriously.
