oh my god. i'm still awake. reading this, the same novel as before.

despite the extremely irritating bullshit with james, it's really astoundingly good, possibly the best characterization of snape i've come across.

IYAP! Yeah, dude. The Snape in that is so solid and fabulous, it makes the weird insecurity worth it. Bah, I cried like a crying thing at the end, just cause I knew there'd be no *more*.

The writing is great, but I was so angry about the ending that if it had been a physical book I would have thrown it across the room in fury. I suppose I'm the sort who needs at least a shred of hope in my endings. If I had known then what I know now (oi!) I would have avoided it in much the same way I've avoided katallison's The End of the Road (http://www.kat.mrks.org/eotr_main.htm).

If cybele_san would just put warnings on her fic I would read her again. It's too bad, because there isn't a lot of good snapeslash out there that I haven't already consumed [pouts].

hmmm. well, i think i can enjoy the snape without being too disheartened by her ending (not that i've reached it yet), because while his character is believable the plot really isn't. harry's too ooc.

i avoided end of the road too. >.< although i do have it saved on my harddrive in case of future insanity.
