why isn't there good viggo/karl like the good viggo/orli!

edit: was looking for this viggo poem, well-known, called communion. it's gorgeous. i've heard it's supposed to be about orli, but there really doesn't seem to be any evidence for that. and it's kinda like domlijah, i'm afraid--too good to be true... and besides omgwtfviggo!!1 loves karl!!!!

Hmm, I can sort of see the Viggo/Orli in that poem. There's the line "BLOOM OF COMPASSION" (I'm stretching, yeah). Um, "AND YOUR BREATH/DOWN MY BACK" could be a gay-sex reference, maybe. Hmmm, the most vital bit is: "YOUR STEADY HANDS/CRADLING MY GRATEFUL/SKULL: WERE YOU TAKING/IN MY FACE TO/SAVE AN IMAGE/YOU'VE RARELY ALLOWED/YOURSELF AFTER LEAVING/THAT COLD ALCOVE?" which could be a reference to that moment in, um, I know I've seen a picture of Orli with his hands cupping Viggo's face. At Cannes? Some award show or premiere moment anyway.

Okay, yeah, it is a bit far-fetched! But I'm amused - thanks for linking the poem.

but i think i remember other people talking seriously about the possibility of the poem's being about orlando. did he dedicate a reading of 'lunch' to orli once or something? it's just hard to believe there's NO basis for all of this.

Seriously, though, I guess I'm not the girl to ask. I haven't heard anything about it before. Perhaps I'll have to do some hard-core, er, "research" when I get home from class this evening. Yeah.
