don't you hate when you know you're quite wrong about something and you have to continue to think (feel?) that way? i'm awfully stubborn. perhaps everyone is crazy in his or her own little way. if our minds were perfect they'd be computers. [insert entire plot of star trek:tmp or the changeling or any one of other star trek episodes, like that one with the crazy inventor and the M5 computer which i can't remember the name of]

speaking of, nimoy/shatner. theirloveissouneasilyunspoken, geezerish, andreluctant! rar. that chemistry. i'm starry-eyed and planning to write nimoy/shatner, elizabeth/will/jack and johnny depp/orlando bloom all after i finish Karl and Viggo's Manly Yet Gay Camping Adventure (and really that title is so awesome i'm tempted to keep it).

The Ultimate Computer. Richard Daystrom was the inventor. [/geek]

And yeah, I hate that too. "Well, I know it's wrong but it just makes so much more sense than the right answer!"

i'm kinda fidgety about it myself. i need to chat with people to iron it out. i'd be happy to chat with you. and i'm currently waiting for [livejournal.com profile] oneko_briar to finish it.

is the manly yet gay camping adventure posted anywhere yet?

also - Nimoy/Shatner (and Kirk/Spock) - really not my thing, but I love the way you've characterized it. My Classic Trek OTP is Sulu/Chekov.

the manly yet gay adventure isn't finished.

how can you watch TOS and have k/s not be your thing? (admittedly everyone, even my beloved beta, tried to claw my eyes out when i first mentioned nimoy/shatner.) i like sulu/chekov, too (i even [sorta] wrote it once), but alas, there's not very much of it. my small auxiliary trek otp is (gasp) HET uhura/scotty. but there's only one story of that. ::sigh::

mostly because when TOS was my big thing it hadn't yet occurred to me that slash was a)something people might write and b)something I myself might be interested in reading. Not that I have ever really read Trekslash, or even any kind of Trekfic, I just remember that when I was reading the novels and occasionally the comic books I preferred the Sulu/Chekov storylines (hey, can you recommend any good Trekfic archives?). I can see the Uhura/Scotty, but for me it's sort of like Merry/Pippin - the pairing's okay and I don't mind mention of it, but I wouldn't read a fic centred around that pairing. Uhura/Scotty is, however, my best friend's Trek OTP.
