i woke up at 11, afraid to go in the living room, where roommate #1 [lisa] and the visiting dletunya bf occupied roommate #2's [cate] futon. snuck out for linguistics text and read 1 chapter. re-emerged, hoping to take medicine and brush my teeth, close to 12, on tiptoe. whoa! lisa was sitting on bf's ass and kissing his spine. at least she was dressed. --guess i should've knocked. but hello? this is the livingroom. after breakfast, made a strategic retreat to the library, where 90% of ethernet jacks seem to be broken. finally found one. am sitting at a ridiculous little 70s-era glass-enclosed desk in the corner, as opposed to on the couch. of course the connections are broken there--everyone wants to use them. in other news, forgot headphones. no music. bleh.
