the more i read in this fandom, the more i know what i'd like to read and the more i realize a very unhappy fact--no one has written it.

and what not to read? songs with titles taken from cheesy pop rock like five for fighting (for heaven's sake, people. 'even jedi have the right to bleed'?)

what would you like to read in this fandom? not that I really play much in SW any more, but if you're after something I'm not squicked by I could give it a try...

ah. i'd like to read a very well-characterized, long, meaty, plotty, subtle first-time story from obi-wan's point of view wherein he is already adult when it occurs, competent, self-controlled, not ridiculously angsty, not mooning about. preferably with a beard--that point is negotiable. preferably a knight already--negoatiable as well but less so. the plot should be action and have a real contribution to make to the theme and development of the story, not just serve as a backdrop or a convenient source for secondary characters. no overly sentimental mush. no baby!obi. no unbelievable behavior on qui-gon's part. no irritating punctuation for telepathy like [] or //// or ~~. you see i'm rather picky.

thank you. i might like to write it, but i have no plot bunnies, just specifications like those above. if a plot bunny forms when i have decently finished and posted the manly yet gay camping adventure, i will probably begin working on it immediately.

(i have specificatoins like that for many fandoms. i have never, for instance, found the ideal jack/will/elizabeth. until thisveryinstant's 'truth' i was DESPERATE for good snape/harry.)
