saving pictures in aol

what the fuck. i right click and it gives me save as filetypes .bmp or .art. i KNOW that fucking file is a .jpg. so what gives? save as all files isn't even an option!

have you tried emptying your temporary internet files? that usually solves the same problem for me.

This is because AOL is the devil. The easiest solution I've found is to open IE or Netscape while you're online and save images through them.

i did that and it wouldn't! it turned out to be something in the computer overall. someone had to get them and send them to me via aim.

Oops, forgot to mention that if you've already viewed the image with AOL, you'll have to refresh the page when you view it with IE or Netscape before the image will become available in other formats. Unless it really is a problem with your computer, specifically, in which case I have no clue how you might circumvent this problem without enlisting someone's help as you did this time.
