death in the family

my and kitten_head's great grandma died last night.

her mother's pretty upset and i bet mine is a crying mess too.

neither of us really knew her that well, but our mothers spent substantial amounts of time on her farm as children. i think it was kind of a refuge. they have tons of fond memories of her.

don't worry, i'm not really broken up. she was pretty far gone.

it may have been past it. we had a couple of scares earlier this year, where by 'we' i mean my mom and her siblings. (i wasn't scared.) they called in the middle of the night once THINKING she was gonna die. there were daily progress reports for a while.
