Kerry, Edwards support Missouri ban
6 Aug 2004 11:42 pmSenator John Edwards, campaigning on Thursday in Cape Girardeau, said he and running mate John Kerry have "no objection" to this week's vote in Missouri to amend the state constitution to ban gay marriage. "We're both opposed to gay marriage and believe that states should be allowed to decide this question," Edwards said in an interview Thursday. Kerry is already on record supporting a similar amendment to the constitution of his home state, Massachusetts. Both members of the Democratic ticket support giving limited rights to same-sex couples.

Date: 6 Aug 2004 10:12 pm (UTC)Just once I'd like to be able to vote for a candidate without having my stomach churn or because the other guy is a walking sign of the apocalypse.
It's not a good sign that the more attention I pay to Kerry and Edwards the less I want to vote for them.
