Wow, that's amazing. Now I'm going to puzzle for the next week over what on EARTH could have been wrong with it.

Also, "award winning tech support" my ASS. They've outsourced it all to people with unintelligible accents and no fucking clue. Even back in the day when I didn't get routed to Bangalore, it was still only a 50/50 shot that you'd get someone with a clue. I'm still bitter about the woman who, in response to an established modem problem, told me to *defrag my harddrive*. < /rage >

let us not forget The Laptop That Still Can't Get On The Internet Because Their Website Lied And Called It XP-Compatible. I've tried to talk my parents into wiping the HD and installing win98 for lillian, but they lost their installation disc. !!! pure EVIL man.

if i ever needed a laptop i would buy a powerbook, compatibility be damned.
